Building Your Website

Implementing Third Generation Design techniques, we build your site to communicate your message to your visitors. This means that we control the flow of each webpage. Each aspect of the website (colors, links, and information) has a purpose. This also means that your site will be themed, giving it a uniform appearance across every page.

Organization

One of the best things that can happen to a website is good organization. It just makes sense that a well-planned experience will keep the attention of your visitors for longer periods of time. That’s why we ensure your site is easy to navigate, is logically arranged, and intuitively draws the visitors’ attention to your important information.

Your Ideas and Our Ideas

Appearance of the Site

Typically, as we develop the appearance of a site, we implement the look and feel of our clients’ developed appearance. We don't use "cookie-cutter" programs or templates. Using publications you already have such as flyers, pamphlets, and even business cards, we are able to match the site style to your business or organization. This makes the site comfortable to you and helps a potential customer make the connection between your virtual and actual presence. However, if you don’t have a developed look and feel, we’ll start building and get your approval on a new design.

Content on the Site

We ask that you provide us with the information you wish to display on your site. In fact, there may be a large amount of information that you will need to bring to us. Also, since describing your products, services, or message is important to you, we feel that we should let you have the flexibility to use whatever words you wish. Generally, this is in the form of brochures or flyers that are already made.

Who has the Upper Hand?

You do! Through experience we have found that some people want full control of their site while others could care less how many details are handled; however, we listen to you and let you point out what you wish to have changed.

Digital Imaging

Pictures and photos on your site are crucial to keeping visitors. We want to make sure that any of your images can be displayed on the site, so we accept a wide range of physical and digital image formats: negatives, slides, photographs and other flat images, .JPEG photos, .GIF graphics, .PNG images, etc. If you have it, we can digitize it! Just let us know.

Document Migration

We know that different businesses and organizations use different programs for letters, presentations, brochures, and other documents (.pdf, .doc, .wpd, etc). We can import the majority of these and add them to your website or make them available to download from your site.

Optimization

There has been a boom in the high-speed Internet connection market; however, as many individuals and even some businesses still use slower dial-up connections, it is important that any website can easily be downloaded from any computer. After we design your site, we take any graphics and pictures used in your website and optimize them or compress them without losing much quality. We also test your site in the most-used browsers and monitor sizes to ensure that your site is easy to use by all different types of visitors.
